Potts Antique Walnut Writing Desk Restoration

 These incredible before pictures show an antique desk that was floating under water for three weeks in the Lakeview area of New Orleans following hurricane Katrina. It later revealed upon dis-assembly, a hand written note on the wood, under the top, to the daughter Annie from the Dad who built the piece in New Orleans early in the 1900's. After meticulous stripping, and reconstruction, it was stained and refinished as she remembered it from before Katrinas waters tried to claim it. It is shown back in  Metairie where she now resides because her home could not be saved.
